ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਮੋਰਚਾ (ਐਸਕੇਐਮ ਗੈਰ‑ਸਿਆਸੀ) ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ (ਪੀਐਮ) ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵੱਲ ਵਧਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

The Council of Europe’s Democratic Institutions and Civil Society Division has launched a grant for non-governmental organizations (NGOs). It aims to foster democratic culture and strengthen the engagement of citizens in decision making in their countries, and to enhance the mutual engagement between the Council of Europe and civil society organizations.

As Modi was visiting the U.S. in September 2024, many Sikh groups held major protests against him for his role in transnational repression against Sikh leaders on foreign soil and attacks on Sikhs in India.
Congressman Adam Schiff (D‑Calif.) has introduced the bipartisan Transnational Repression Reporting Act of 2024 which would require the Attorney General, in coordination with other relevant federal agencies, to submit a report of cases of transnational repression against U.S. citizens or people in the United States.
