🚨 RMN Foundation Case Report

Bisleri’s Corporate Negligence Poses Public Health Risk

Date: June 2025
Reported by: Rakesh Raman, Founder, RMN Foundation

🧪 Overview: Suspected Contaminated Water Supply

In June 2025, RMN Foundation received a complaint from its founder and journalist, Rakesh Raman, regarding a serious issue of suspected contamination in Bisleri-branded bottled water. The complaint raises significant concerns about consumer health and corporate accountability in India’s bottled water market.

Despite Bisleri’s brand prominence, its response to the issue was delayed, dismissive, and failed to address the core concern: ensuring the purity of water supplied to consumers.

⚠️ Health Risk to Consumers

The reported symptoms included bad taste and potential digestive illness after consuming Bisleri’s water, suggesting a possible breach in water purification and bottling protocols. When consumers trust a reputed brand for safe drinking water, such issues raise alarms about widespread exposure to health hazards — particularly in cities like Delhi, where municipal water is often unfit for drinking.

This raises a fundamental human rights concern: Access to clean and safe water is a basic right, and Bisleri appears to be violating it.

❌ Pattern of Corporate Negligence

Rakesh Raman reached out to Bisleri on June 12, 2025, via email, requesting:

  • An explanation of how consumers can test the purity of Bisleri water.
  • A clear, public process to verify water quality on the company’s website.
  • A resolution timeline and accountability for potentially adulterated supplies.

Bisleri responded only with:

  • A vague automated acknowledgment.
  • A perfunctory phone call request for a bottle cap image.
  • No proper follow-up or tangible resolution.

To date, Bisleri has not published any method for consumers to verify water purity, nor has it shown seriousness in addressing complaints.

💰 Price vs. Purity Paradox

Bisleri charges ₹105 for a 20-litre jar, but local sources suggest dishonest distributors may be refilling bottles from unsafe sources for as little as ₹12–15 per jar. This stark contrast between price and possible quality raises concerns about consumer exploitation and supply chain malpractice.

Bisleri appears to depend heavily on local delivery agents, potentially turning a blind eye to malpractices to protect its distribution network.

🛑 RMN Foundation’s Call to Action

As a charity organization committed to public health and civic rights, RMN Foundation urges:

  1. Immediate investigation into Bisleri’s distribution and quality assurance processes.
  2. Public availability of water purity certification or testing methods.
  3. Oversight by regulatory bodies including Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and consumer protection authorities.
  4. Stronger frameworks for holding corporations accountable for endangering public health.

📢 Final Note

RMN Foundation will continue to monitor and report on this issue while seeking systemic changes in how consumer complaints are handled in India. We stand with citizens who demand their right to safe drinking water, transparency, and corporate responsibility.

NEW DELHI – The latest June 16-30, 2025 issue of The Unrest magazine, published by RMN News Service, offers a comprehensive look at significant economic and political upheavals worldwide. This edition delves into critical international relations, domestic political challenges, and various global developments, underscoring the complex landscape of mid-2025.

International Relations and Diplomatic Maneuvers: In a notable development concerning international relations, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation to the G7 was reportedly contingent upon his government’s agreement to law enforcement cooperation, a condition set by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. This arises amidst Canada’s strong stance, considering India’s alleged actions targeting Canadian citizens as a serious crime of Transnational Repression. A report within the magazine further indicates that an Indian agent kept former leader of Canada’s New Democratic Party (NDP), Jagmeet Singh, under close surveillance.

Diplomatic setbacks for India are also highlighted, with the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) dismissing India’s long-standing allegations of state-sponsored terrorism against Pakistan. The magazine also briefly mentions the ongoing Iran-Israel Conflict. International bodies are actively engaged, as seen with the Council of Europe’s call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and a high-level delegation from its Congress meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv. Furthermore, NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) has launched ten new innovation challenges.

United States Politics and Immigration: Within the United States, the political climate remains contentious. More than half of respondents in 19 of 24 surveyed countries express a lack of confidence in Donald Trump’s leadership. President Trump has officially launched registration for the “Trump Card,” a new premium pathway designed to provide wealthy foreigners with access to the United States.

He has also implemented a travel ban on nationals from 12 countries, citing national security concerns. In response to intensified immigration raids and troop deployment, demonstrations have taken place in U.S. cities including New York, Chicago, and Atlanta. The magazine also covers the “No Kings” protests, a series of demonstrations across the U.S. organized to oppose the policies and perceived overreach of President Donald Trump’s administration.

Domestic Concerns in India: India is grappling with significant domestic challenges, described as its worst existential crisis. The sources indicate that the country’s 1.4 billion commoners are under grave threat from their own political rulers who are allegedly exploiting them. Rahul Gandhi has accused the ruling BJP of orchestrating “match-fixing” and “industrial-scale rigging” in Indian elections.

Instances of corruption and exploitation are prominent, including the Widehouse Corruption Scandal, described as a construction racket in Delhi run by criminal housing society MC members in collusion with corrupt officials. There’s also a case of malicious legal action in a Delhi court illustrating the exploitation of India’s judicial system to target independent journalists.

In Delhi’s Kalkaji, hundreds have been displaced after the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) razed illegal structures, even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off a fleet of electric buses in the city. Amidst these domestic issues, the RMN company has launched its ‘Promote with Pathway’ platform to give global recognition to startups and small businesses.

Global Governance and Other Topics: International bodies are actively addressing various fronts, with the Council of Europe organizing a major conference in Strasbourg where over 500 leading cybercrime experts gathered. The Council of Europe’s Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) has released a report expressing concern about threats to judicial independence. Global leaders are also urging critical action against money laundering and terror finance.

The magazine also touches upon broader societal topics, noting that there is no specific definition of terrorism, asserting it is only a form of political system clandestinely run by professional politicians of the world. The importance of green film-making for the future of cinema, aiming to save energy and reduce environmental harm, was highlighted by student expert Imrana. Additionally, AI-powered Virtual Worlds are mentioned.

A country will remain underdeveloped if its prime minister is so illiterate that he cannot speak even a single word without a teleprompter. He also tarnishes the country’s image in all parts of the world when he uses teleprompter even to address a rare press conference.

Food for Thought: Choose Your Leader

His Twitter wall displays ghost-written tweets on every random subject.

He frequently calls the winning sportspersons on the phone.

He delivers at the end of every month a boring monologue that nobody listens to.

He uses a teleprompter to say even a few words on any subject.

He keeps roaming aimlessly in India and abroad.

He surrounds himself with naive toadies who behave as his slaves.

He delivers only vulgar speeches against his opponents.

He hates certain communities of his own country.

He began his career with hate and crime some 20 years ago.

His tongue starts spinning in his mouth when he tries to speak English.

He giggles hysterically without understanding a word when a foreign leader speaks in English.

He hardly smiles in India but keeps laughing uncontrollably in front of world leaders and their wives.

He keeps changing costumes throughout the day.

He feeds peacocks and cows even when they are not hungry.

He prostrates in temples and squats in remote caves.

He calls failed actors to tell his techniques of eating mangoes.

He wants to get photographed for every trick he plays.

Friends, you can see that even a donkey or a monkey can do all that he is doing.

But if you want to come out of the hell that India has become under this ongoing buffoonery, you need an educated and intelligent leader without any political background at the top.
