‘Kala Pani Morcha’ Protest in Punjab Against Polluted Budha Nala

Since people have no other option but to consume poisonous water, they are suffering and dying with incurable diseases.

Environmental activists have given a call to the local residents in Punjab to join their ‘Kala Pani Morcha’ protest in Ludhiana on December 3 against the dyeing units which are dumping poisonous waste into the Budha Nala.

The activists claim that the judicial forums such as the National Green Tribunal (NGT) have declared that the polluting factories are adding toxic effluents into the water stream and which must be stopped.  read more

RTI Application to Seek Floor Area Ratio (FAR) Construction Information from DDA

As a journalist and environmental activist, I have been running citywide campaigns to stop FAR construction.

Floor Area Ratio (FAR) Construction in Delhi’s Cooperative Group Housing Societies (CGHS) is a dangerous work which spreads harmful pollution and causes accidents in housing complexes where people (men, women, children, and senior citizens) are living. 

As a journalist and environmental activist, I have been running citywide campaigns to stop FAR construction. In March / April 2024, I had sent RTI applications to various departments including Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Delhi Police, Registrar Cooperative Societies (RCS) of Delhi Government, and Delhi Fire Service (DFS) to seek FAR information.  read more

Defective Lifts Can Cause Fatal Accidents at Sri Agrasen Apartments of Dwarka in Delhi

All of us know that crimes being committed by the management committee (MC) members of Delhi’s cooperative group housing societies are increasing rapidly. 

In a new case of criminal activity at Sri Agrasen Apartments of Dwarka in New Delhi, residents complain that the MC members have allowed the residents to use the lifts which have not been fully installed and the use of defective lifts can cause fatal accidents in the building.  read more
