All of us know that crimes being committed by the management committee (MC) members of Delhi’s cooperative group housing societies are increasing rapidly.
In a new case of criminal activity at Sri Agrasen Apartments of Dwarka in New Delhi, residents complain that the MC members have allowed the residents to use the lifts which have not been fully installed and the use of defective lifts can cause fatal accidents in the building.
The aggrieved residents also complain that the Sri Agrasen CGHS MC members have allowed the use of defective lifts so that the MC members could extort money with heavy interest from residents for the lifts which have not been properly installed. The residents have shared this video which shows how people trapped in defective lifts are being rescued.
This case is part of our “Clean House” anti-corruption social service, which helps the residents of Delhi raise their voice against the growing corruption and injustice in housing societies where millions of people suffer because of rampant corruption and lawlessness by the MC members or the administrators.

The “Clean House” service had informed the Sri Agrasen CGHS MC and other authorities on August 13, 2024 about the defective lifts and other irregularities at the Society. In a careless response, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) said that private builders are supposed to tackle this issue.
The Registrar Cooperative Societies (RCS) of Delhi Government and Delhi Police were also informed but they did not take any action because the MCs of housing societies regularly bribe the government officials with residents’ money to circumvent the law and avoid any punitive action.
This case of Sri Agrasen CGHS – including a video interaction with residents – is available on the “Clean House” service, which is being run by Rakesh Raman who is a national award-winning journalist and social activist.
