Appeal for Open Government in Delhi

As the Indian politics is full of criminals, it becomes an imperative to hold the lawmakers accountable for each day of their government. This is particularly important in Delhi where nearly 60% of the 70 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs ) have serious criminal records.

It is being observed that the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) is increasing rapidly in India. While the government does not have proper hospitals and healthcare infrastructure to test and count the coronavirus cases and casualties, it is giving some random, off-the-cuff numbers about the disease. Actually, the number of coronavirus patients and deaths in India is far higher — probably in thousands — than what is being reported.

Meanwhile, a report focuses on coronavirus in Delhi’s housing societies where millions of people live. The government is not taking proper steps to stop non-essential, long-term construction projects in the occupied housing societies where men, women, and children are already living. This has increased the probability of coronavirus contagion in the entire city, and eventually it will bring dire consequences for the entire world.  read more

How to Stop Crimes and Corruption in Delhi

Today, crimes and corruption in Delhi’s cooperative group housing societies (CGHS) are increasingly rapidly, while the existing laws for these societies are ineffective. The Registrar Cooperative Societies (RCS) office of Delhi Government, which is supposed to regulate the CGHS affairs, has completely failed in its responsibility to ensure smooth and transparent functioning in the housing societies.

Therefore, there is an immediate need to formulate new laws and implement an effective administrative model to safeguard the rights and interests of millions of people who live in these housing societies. read more
