New Research Report Reveals Massive Corruption in India
India Corruption Research Report 2023 – Corruption in India Research
The India Corruption Research Report 2023 (ICRR 2023) is the second annual report on corruption in India. Released in October 2023, the 86-page report covers diverse aspects of corruption in India. Some of the key facts are given below.
ICRR 2023: Key Facts
Corruption in India is increasing exponentially.
Corruption cases of the ruling regime never get investigated.
Bureaucrats enjoy full impunity in their acts of corruption.
Judicial corruption is increasing rapidly.
Courts are mostly complicit in corruption crimes.
Oligarchs close to the government politicians commit financial crimes blatantly.
Investigation agencies are negligent and unskilled to handle corruption cases.
Anti-corruption laws are not followed.
Courts easily grant bail to corrupt politicians.
Corruption is equally rampant in the Central and State governments.
With opaque corporate funding through electoral bonds, political corruption by the ruling regime has increased manifold.
In return to illicit corporate funds, the government does not take back loans given to corporates. Banks have written off bad loans worth Rs. 14.56 lakh crore (~ US$ 175 billion) in the last nine financial years starting 2014-15. This is the most dreaded form of organized corruption.
As the leaders of opposition political parties are equally corrupt, they do not oppose government corruption.
Since politicians, bureaucrats, police, and judges have formed a criminal gang in India, there is no forum for citizens where they could complain and get rid of corruption.

UN Human Rights, USCIRF Petition to Protect Human Rights in Manipur
I sent a detailed petition to different authorities to seek their intervention for the protection of human rights and right to freedom of religion for people in the Manipur state of India. A part of the petition is given below.
To July 25, 2023
Mr. Volker Türk UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Palais Wilson, 52 rue des Pâquis CH-1201 Geneva, Switzerland
Mr. Abraham Cooper Chair U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) 732 N. Capitol Street, N.W. Suite A714, Washington, DC 20401
Copy for Immediate Action to:
Mr. Antony Blinken, U.S. Secretary of State
Mr. Josep Borrell, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, EU
And other international agencies working in the fields of human rights and religious freedom rights of citizens in all parts of the world.
Subject: Petition to seek intervention of the international agencies such as OHCHR, USCIRF, and others to protect the human rights and right to freedom of religion in the Manipur state of India.
Relevant Laws and Regulations for the Petition: Universal Declaration of Human Rights, USCIRF recommendation for Country of Particular Concern, Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act, establishment of a special international court like International Military Tribunal of Nuremberg, deployment of UN peacekeeping force in India, and the Security Council’s Chapter VII authority.
Petition by: Rakesh Raman, who is a journalist and human rights defender
ABOUT THE PETITION
The Indian state of Manipur is facing increasing state-sponsored violence aimed to harass, persecute, attack, and drive out people belonging to the minority Christian community.
The violence includes arson, murders, loot, and rapes by the criminals who masquerade as Hindu protagonists. While the government is not taking any action to stop the violence that began almost two months ago, the connivance of the state and national authorities in the crimes tantamount to ethnic cleansing.
Since there is no domestic forum to get justice for the minority Christian community of Manipur, I am filing this petition to OHCHR, USCIRF, and other international judicial and political forums for a speedy resolution to protect the lives and rights of persecuted people of Manipur.
Although some opposition political outfits and supporters of harassed Christians are holding peaceful protests in New Delhi and other parts of India, such protests do not succeed in authoritarian regimes such as India.
In fact, such peaceful protests by the oppressed citizens have repeatedly failed in the autocratic nations such Belarus, China, Israel, Myanmar, Russia, Syria, and so on. Rather, the protesters are being attacked, incarcerated, tortured, or even killed by the police and security forces.
Therefore, an independent international judicial forum like the OHCHR or USCIRF is required to protect the rights of persecuted minorities of India. And for the immediate protection of Manipur people from criminals and police brutality, OHCHR should deploy a dedicated team of officials in India.
The OHCHR should invoke the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, particularly Article 18: “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion…” to protect the rights of people in Manipur.

While India is already perceived to be one of the most corrupt countries in the world, bureaucratic and political corruption is still increasing dramatically in the country.
However, there is no reliable information available on the extent of corruption. The findings of the report will help the central as well as state governments in the country make actionable strategies to combat corruption. The report will also be equally useful for other stakeholders including businesses, political parties, and international organizations.
The report ICRR 2023 will be the second annual report which will be published by the RMN Foundation – which is the humanitarian initiative of RMN (Raman Media Network) News Service. The first report ICRR 2022 was released in October 2022.

School Education Reforms in India. Campaign by Rakesh Raman / RMN Foundation
India Must Save School Students from Futile Education
Appeal: All parents, students, teachers, politicians, bureaucrats, and wise citizens of India are requested to support this campaign.
By Rakesh Raman, Founder, RMN Foundation
After launching this education reform campaign in April 2022 to save school students of India from the torturous education system, I have been interacting with various state and national education ministries to get the education system reformed.
However, I found that the bureaucrats and politicians in the education departments are so careless and insensitive that they are not concerned at all about the lives and careers of students.
They want to persist with the archaic syllabuses and obsolete pedagogical procedures which cannot make students employable. They fail to understand that higher education is meaningless if the fundamental school education is flawed.
That is why the population of so-called educated people or degree holders who are unemployed is increasing exponentially in the country. In order to protect the rights of children to get proper education that can help them earn their livelihoods gracefully, I have been sending my proposals and recommendations to various government departments and hundreds of schools across the country.
[ You can click here to watch a related video on RMN YouTube Channel and subscribe to the Channel to watch more informative videos. ]
Since most Indian ministers and bureaucrats are not quite qualified, they fail to understand the necessity of change in the flawed education system. They keep tossing my proposals randomly from one government department to another without taking an immediate decision to issue a formal notification for the change in the system.
Since most Indian politicians and bureaucrats also lack English communications skills, I have even offered to write the necessary directions that the schools in India could follow.
Similarly, the teachers have no interest in changing the obsolete school education system because most teachers are clueless about the rapidly evolving job market requirements.
Instead of working proactively to improve the education paradigm, school teachers keep waiting for the orders from the ill-informed Indian ministers and naive bureaucrats who are not capable of taking any decision toward any positive change.
Strangely, parents also do not care for their children. They blindly follow the rotten education system that is being offered in schools. Parents are not learning from the horrific experience that their children face after completing their education. Educated unemployed are beaten and persecuted by the government-backed police when they demand jobs based on their degrees and diplomas.
Parents refuse to realize that their educated children are not getting jobs because their education is irrelevant and they are not employable. Instead of asking the governments to revamp their education systems to make them employable, students demand jobs while they do not possess any education or skills to work in any corporate or government environment.
When such unemployable students demand jobs after completing their education, the governments reject their demands and use brutal force to crush their protests in different states of India.
I have compiled a comprehensive research report on the school education dilemma in India. You can download and study this report.
I once again request all parents, students, teachers, politicians, bureaucrats, and wise citizens to support this campaign to save the lives and careers of millions of students in India. You can support this initiative as donors, volunteers, and partners.
